Disabled - looking for a fishing spot Ocean county Toms River

I am a salt water guy with 45 years of fishing N.J. and N.Y. I am now disabled so I can not stand up very long about half an hour and I must sit for a while. I am also a big guy 6'5"
335 lbs. retired NYPD and now living alone in a independent living complex in Toms River.
I really need to be able to get out of my apartment and do something I love to do ( Go Fishing )but I need some help finding a place for me to go. I already tried the seaside fishing pier I did not like it at all!!
I would like to take my folding chair and fish some where and catch some fluke, sea bass, flounder, weak fish.

can you drive? go to the manasquan inlet theres always older guys there with there chairs reeling in fluke left and right, its really nice there, nice and roomy, about a 15 min. drive there if you can go during the week in the morning thats the best go to the left side beind the old restaraunt and the statue, the wall is lower if your sitting, and ive coughten some pretty nice fluke there, good luck man!

If you have access to a car I would recommend you try the Mantaloking Bridge fishing pier.  It is just up the road from Seaside Heights.  Take Rt. 35 north when the north and the south portions meed go 2 traffic lights and make a left.  Go over the bridge and there are 3 parking areas to choose from.  I would recommend the east side of the road where there are 3 parking spaces and easy access to the pier and the fishing area under the bridge.  It is a unique area and I would recommend it for easy access for disabled individuals as your self.

The paths are all concrete paved and give you stability in which to walk.

If you can get to Barnegat Light House...

The parking lot is paved up to the front door of the visitor center.

Once you get into there, they have wheel chairs for the sand. It looks like a big beach chair with big tube tires on it. I believe they are free.

Once you get the chair, you can get through the sand and there's wheel chair access up onto a walkway. You can fish right off the walkway. You may even be able to get out onto the jetti a little bit.

Welcome aboard, I am a retired Lt from a JErsey Dept and now run a charter in Highlands, NJ.....I don't know much about the Toms River area but Port Monmouth and Keansburg have fishing piers where you can hook up on Stripers, Blues, Fluke and can sit if you need to.

Thanks to all who reply to my disabled fishing problem.  I am very happy I found this site!!! I am going to try the mantaloking bridge area first. Then I want to go Fluke fishing some where, maybe a party boat or  find a few people who will split a charter boat for fluke and strippers. If anyone has a favorite party boat or wants to go in on getting a charter boat before fluke season is over. I live in Toms River but I know the best chance now for fluke and strippers is to go out of Atlantic Highlands Marina. Let me know thanks again Joe.  ntf4@comcast.net

I was not over looking Point Pleasant but I read in the hook and line that at this time in August
the best fluking has been north of the long branch area up to the Raritan Bay.
I am just trying to find out what is best. Also I want to go on the afternoon trips from 2PM - ^:30PM  Thanks for helping me out Capt.
