Not Impressed...
« on: August 12, 2007, 09:44:59 AM »
So, according to my handy dandy little pocket calendar, yesterday and today are supposed to be the best fishing days of the month.

After fishing from 4:00am until almost 10:00pm, I really wasn't impressed. Actually seemed like I caught less than usual.

I tried about 5 different lakes in my area, where I usually do pretty decent... yesterday I was lucky if I was getting bites in some areas.  :-\

But it was still nice...beautiful sunrise and the weather was amazing.

Anyone else do the freshwater thing yesterday? How was it?

WOW - 4am to 10pm - LONG DAY!!!  We never do freshwater only saltwater and were out on Saturday from about 4:30pm til around 7-7:30pm - my favorite part was watching my hubby fish and watching the sun go down.. AMAZING to watch by boat...

I don't do freshwater fishing either, but you put a longgggggg day in.  Keep it up and you will get into the fish.   t^

Fishinfool.  I don't know if you have done it yet or not, but watching fireworks from the water is great too.  I had my wife out last Saturday night watching them from Neptune City.  Front row seats!   t^

o@ You had your wife on the boat? I'm impressed  I do the freshwater thing a lot mostly on the Delware. There have been times when we have come home from Shark River after being on the water there from 9:30 am  till 4:30pm come home hook up the 14 footer and head for the river of course I can leave my house and be ON the river in 15 minutes

Yea, was definitely a long day!

I'd like to get to Manasquan Inlet again sometime this week.

Fireworks on the water are awesome! Seen the ones at Penns Landing a few years ago and it was amazing.
