Bayshore Pier 11/20

Decided to try the small pier at Bayshore Waterfront Park today...some bites on some spoons and Dirty Dicks...but no takers...

Daughter and I were at the end of the pier for a time...and when others came they insisted on fishing within 3 feet of you...crowding is a good word...crossed lines is another. Don't people have the common sense to realize that you need to give people space...especially on a small width pier? Made for an unenjoyable afternoon...

Some times thats to much to expect,the common sense part. Sucks when u try to enjoy yourself and it gets ruined by 1 or 2 people all for a fish 5hrug

 Dont get me wrong i love fishing but to ruin someones day for it??? nah no thanks..Its like those guys who see birds working and runs full bore right smack dap in the middle of them??? Why do that?? all your doin is ruining it for every one else......Owell can win them all.. chrz

Agreed...but the people today had no clue about what I call fishing etiquette...sometimes I wonder... :headscra:...perhaps I should head back to the trout streams in upstate NY again...lol...

 rofla yeah i hear ya man. Just sucks people are like that. Man when i was a kid growin up if i went fishin older dudes gave up their spot just to see a kid catch some thing, Now they try and block you or crowd you to the point it makes your day shittie... nosmly nosmly

I live 5 minutes from that beach/pier......I know how it gets down there some times.....every one wants the end and they dont care whos there.....

when i get crowded like that i suddenly become a Very erradict caster with the heaviest metal i own....  >:D

i was over @ the rock wall yesterday with the kids, my daughter was upset that i hooked the eel through the eyes.

got the usual skunk.

I feel that if you were there first, you have every right to ask for a little breathing room.  I had to scream out for some space out on a sandbar yesterday AM after 8 guys turned into 15.   nosmly

May I recommend the patented lasso cast in these situations.  Basically instead of the standard overhand cast, you whip your 5 oz jig round and round like a lasso before hurling it out.  Generally keeps everyone away from you and those who don't generally end up being a teaser rig on your jig  TT^
