Hudson River Saturday Nov 19th AM
« on: November 21, 2011, 11:39:19 PM »
So...I tried to get a early start but my bud was late(as usual) we hit the water at 630 and poles were in right away..30 min or so for the first bite but was confident with the sonar alive, then one by one poles began to rap, over 25 bass ranging in the 4 inch(lol) to 24inch....then the big boys two in the 20lb class one was Fishhunter#1.. and three were lost..wow.. I heard someone say no bass in the Hudson I beg to differ..I have been fishing these water and the Hack for over 25years now..and these rivers hold big surprise's......ALWAYS and ALL YEAR Round! we are TRULY BLESSED! Thanks all and I am so glad this forum is here...I love reading the local reports and look forward to giving my local report now as well.

I know people that regularly launch up around the GW bridge and catch 30-40 pounders up there.  They are definitely in the hudson!  Nice catch t^

The striped ones are around inside the bay,  you just need to know where they are, those that have put their time in the hudson and Rar Bay KNOW where they are.....

Bayonne,  I used to fish Caven Point Pier with my father when I was a kid, thanks for bringing it up.  Reminds me of of all the great fish I caught there....We would still go even after they closed it down to vehicles at the halfway point,  my dad and I didn't care we would walk all the way to the end and fish ALL day or night...Hell, I may have even fished near you.  Are you out of Atlas or Elco ??? I know Bayonne very well, I know many great people from that town.
