Had Hotrod Sr. Jeffish and Chatty Kenny out today for the "Hot Barnegat Bass Bite" My # one objective today was to get Jeff his picture Fish..

Got to the dock at 6:AM.. with about 10 other boats waiting for dawn like we were..

Left the dock at 6:20AM..  Boats.. Boats and more Boats. Like the scene from Jaws.  The light house was stacked 2-3 boats deep in a line.. for as far as the eye could see making their way to the inlet. fcp

Even after leaving at day break, the fleet was stacked....  chatter on the radio didn't sound promising..

Found our marks and started jigging Avas.  Not a touch.. O boy.  here we go.  Jeff goes in and grabs a 10" Ronz..  drops it down and game on.  Boats his personal best 35" Striper.  Kenny follows with a pink Ronz keeper..  Dad and I were getting nothing on Avas.. 

We Had 6 Fish for the day.. all on Ronz.. Kept two for the table....  even got a ling on the Ronz..

The bite was early.. 5 of our fish came between 6:45 AM about 8:am,  then that was it .. with one fish around Noon.   

Back to the dock @ 12:30...  not a Banner day.  but a good one t^

Nice seeing Nick and The Monger out there. as well as Greg

Well after getting one hour of sleep the night before and driving the 200 mile round trip to the boat I,m all rested up. Got home @3:30 and was passed out asleep by 4:00 so I'm late to the posting...

Another fun day on the P/A with all the Houck boys in attendance...what a fleet of boats...had me speechless ( for 15 min ) rofla rofla

Great weather and sea conditions for us today and that sunshine felt great on the face for the end of November...

Broke off my first fish of the day ( felt like a big one ) got one @ 28 in the box and caught a shortie at the end of the day...Congrats on the day go to Jeff with a 35" fat fish...had to go 25 lber for his new personal best t^ t^

Thanks again for the invite Rod, had a blast ;D

Don't be hating the chairs Joe... rofla They take the luxury up a notch on the P/A.... ( I wonder if they make a reclining model  ;D )

To better describe the boat traffic, I came up with this.

Its like trying to find a parking spot at the mall of america on black friday.

It really was a sight to see.

I was happy enough to have 3 generations fishing again, and the icing on the cake was my fish. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?!
