12/2 fishing report
« on: December 02, 2011, 08:57:13 PM »
made it past the hook by 6:40am and there was no life anywhere. went deep and in shallow but no fish, marks or bait. Trolled some spoons down to my tog way point and worked our buttts off for a total of 7 keepers,3 guys......GRRRRR

Saw some wierd bird action and found blue fin tuna. They were jumping clear out of the water. Burned tons of fuel trying to hoook up with on. LOL They would not even let me get close. total was 7 keeper tog.

It was fun even tho we didn't land one...we all threw somethin at them....even tried trolling some...looks like stingo's were the ticket...we did hear a few Captains talking about Stingos earlier in the day...some funny names on them...never thought I'd see tuna in the bite with Sandy hook and the Verranzano in site. Will get them next time Keith! chrz....you could tell when the tuna were surfacing....the birds would dive right before they came up but we could never seem to get close enough to cast into the mix....we were thinking they were between 100-200lbs?...just our guess.
