Bingo Dec 31st report
« on: January 01, 2012, 09:54:22 AM »
Happy New Years to everyone at the NJsaltwaterfisherman.
We had a good NJSW crew on the Bingo yesterday with Kenny, Paul-e  pawle, Reel McCoy, BigAl, BigAl’s brother, my son Jake, my son’s friend Chris, myself and 7 other hardy souls of unknown origins to round out the fares.  Capt Jack was at the helm and John was working the deck.  Our first stop was inshore at the rocks.  We had southwest wind and a south swell.  Nothing big, a very comfortable ad overall.  I fished in my sweatshirt most of the day so for a Dec 31st was really nice weather wise.   We had Greens, white-leggers, Asian shore crabs + clams for bait today.   We tried hard but the Tog bite never developed.  A few were picked but after a good inshore try Capt Jack pulled the anchor and we handed off shore to the land of the big ones.  We switched to clams and the Ling started flying over the rail and the cooler started getting full.  Except for Reel McCoy how is truly the Dog Fish Whisper.  A few more Tog were picked but they just didn’t want to chew.  We tried a couple more offshore spots and it was basically the same thing, Ling if you wanted them, a Tog here and there.    Jack tried one more shot inshore hoping a late day bite might develop but nada.  We ran out to the Rattlesnake and picked a few more. I finally got a keeper Tog, barely, with a piece of clam.  We had a big pool and my son’s friend Chris barely beat out Big Al’s brother by a fraction of an ounce.  Of course Kenny couldn’t let a golden opportunity like this one slip by so he had John expertly slip a 16 oz sinker in Chris’s fish stomach while he was filleting and Al’s brother gave an Academy award performance when the sinker plopped on the fillet table screaming over and over that’s a bunch of BS at Chris.  Poor Chris threw has hands up, turned white, shook his head no, no, no , while back away from the angry mod fearing for his life, limb and pool money.  We laughed so hard a faces hurt but Chris took in stride and it was a great way to end the year fishing with friends.  Thank you Capt Jack and crew on the Bingo.  It was my first year fishing with you guys and you run a top notch operation. Every trip was more enjoyable then the previous one.

Great write up Phil clp clp

I had a blast yesterday with the above mentioned all star crew, beautiful day to be on the water for this late in Dec and too many laughs to count t^

When Chris's fish beat mine buy an ounce for the money it was game on!!! I just had to mess with him  ;D...It took about a half hour to get everyone on board with our little charade...  The expresion on Chris's face was priceless rofla rofla   He was a good sport after the blood got back in his face rofla

As mentioned Capt. Jack worked his tail off for us and mate John is top notch in my book, Just another great trip on the BINGO not to mention that they are just some of the nicest guys you will ever fish with t^ t^

What a great way to finish off 2011  TT^

Time to start planning our first trip for 2012!!

Phil hit the bergal right on the head with Saturdays report.

I would like to thank all who fished with us this year for your support and patronage. John and I work very hard to provide the best overall fishing experience on board the Bingo which would not be possible without our First Class customers!

We look forward to to sailing with all in 2012!

great report Phil.
I had a great time fishing with you guys thanks for the invite. Njswf really makes it easy to find good guys to fish with t^ The old sinker in the belly trick couldnt have been scripted, It took a little work to get everyone in on it but the expression on his face was the hi light of my fishing season.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
