Sash Weights
« on: January 03, 2012, 03:27:20 PM »
Is there a market for old window sash weights? I know they make great marker bouy weights. I may be able to come across a large number of them in the near future.

If I'm not mistaken, I think a lot of guys use them on tile fish trips. I've seen guys asking for a source for them in the past.

yup tile fishing, bouy weights, and also work good as a grapple for throwing into a rock pile when your trying to anchor up next to a light house etc. and if there coming to you at no cost take them anyway current price is $0.10 per pound at the scrap yard so if each one is 5lbs which is pretty light for a sash weight its worth 50 cents t^

Swordfishing is picking up in the area too. Im sure you can call around to charter captains or stores that sell deep drop tackle and unload a bunch of these.  t^
