I'm a new member here and from what the site looks like so far I think its great.I've been fishing in the bays and ocean of NJ for 57 years. Been around boats for that long also (my mother had labor pains with me in my dad's 1st boat on Kettle Creek). I've sailed boats inshore and raced offshore, raced offshore power boats, crossed many oceans (in submarines) and of course fished. I am high and dry this year and would like any leads or anyone who fishes alone and would ever be looking for someone to fish with and of course split the costs. The "Hook" is where I fish most and Manasquan area.

Hi ryko welcome aboard.

I do not have a boat but fish the suds from the Manesquan Inlet to Barnegat Inlet.  I to have been fishing this area for over 50 years.  I prefer to surf fish even though I had a number of boats ranging from 27' to 10'.

It is to expensive for me to even think of even though it is in the back of my mind all the time.

If you ever get the urge to hit the suds just watch in the Surf Fisherman's Forum either "From the Suds" or "Conditions at IBSP" I usually post when I hit the beach.

Again, welcome aboard.

Happy Catching

Paul

Welcome to the site ryko.  After about eight posts you will have some more forums open up for you.  In those forums you will see guys who run open boats.  Someone is always looking for people to fish with them to cut down costs for everyone.  You should have no problems finding a boat to jump on.  I see Mboy has already answered up on that.

Any questions you have, ask away.  Anything you can add, please do so.  We all share here.

Looking forward to your posts/reports.   t^

Just found this board and think it is great. I posted one topic and received feedback already. I fish out of Shark River on a 25 Grady White and do alot of sharking and cod fishing. Love fluke and stripers as well but sharking is my favorite. Work part time on a charter boat in pt. pleasant as well. Can't waite for sharking season to come around and start hearing the reels screm.

Welcome aboard Tunatales. We are at the same marina. You were just down the dock from me on 'D' dock when I first got to the marina several years ago. I moved the boat twice since then (same marina, different dock) and am now a dock over from you.
You had a great season last year on the shark and cod if I remember right, especially on the cod. I hope this season is as productive for you.
Any questions you have, ask away. Anything you have to add, please do so. A bunch of nice guys here. All willing to share and wanting to expand on their knowledge.
Again, welcome aboard.  t^
