My shakedown trip was a bust...wanted to head off Flynn's for some trolling if my engine allowed...had gotten some bad gas last outing and wasn't sure how'd she run....sputtered a bit out of Sayreville....ran fine till the railroad bridge where I thought I'd troll a little until the fog lifted....well that didn't happen pretty much all day...couldn't get past the 14 can when it was pea soup again....lots  of birds diving off Princess Bay...looked like they were on small bait?.....flat calm seas and a bit of sun inside made up for the bust...and havin my kids was a plus! on the way in engine acted up again....slow troll back...if you ever go to Raystown Resort in PA....be careful of the gas at their dock!...  chrz

Sorry to hear it ran $hitty...but c'mon man, calling out the the last place ya got fuel is a stretch, no?

I got bad gas (almost 1/3 water) from a local dock last year and yet no one else had any issues at at all...

It was tough sledding out there, but a beautiful day.  Sorry to hear about the fuel issues.

Just saying every once in a while you get the crappy end of the tank, not the fresh just filled topped off tank. Stuff happens.

Thanks for the report and the fuel alert. We as boat owners and NJSWF.COM members need to stick together and warn each other about potential problems, so we can avoid headaches and sometimes costly repairs . t^

Thought marinas were to monitor there tanks for possible water and have a filter system in place.
