Got to see this in person, blew my mind!

i'm soooooo sooo freakin jealous!!  couldn't afford the tickets this year. It was this or fish.

This was my 5th Allman show and first Beacon believe it or not.  Gregg was rejuvinated, the energy overall was the best I've ever heard them.  Greg was actually hitting the "tied" notes on Whipping Post.  First time I have even seen him try.  Just an amazing amazing show.

Quote
There have been some mighty horrible renditions of Led Zeppelin‘s Stairway To Heaven, but when Nancy and Ann Wilson of Heart performed the song in front of the three remaining members of the legendary British rock band at the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony on Dec. 2, it made Robert Plant cry tears of joy.

(The band was being honoured by President Barack Obama alongside David Letterman and Dustin Hoffman.)

Watch it and understand why. When the choir kicks in and Ann Wilson wails Plant’s famous “And as we wind on down the road…” you might shed a tear or two yourself.

And the drummer is actually Jason Bonhan, the original drummer's (John) son.

Isn't that awesome? Truly hoping Plant does a tour as rumored....Had tickets for a show in Buffalo NY when I was in High School only to find out on the way home from staying up all night in line to get them that John Bonham had passed....I'll pay to go
