Pilot - Short window 3/30
« on: March 31, 2012, 03:13:16 PM »
Made the run to the back with Tbone and Capt Don Jr. trying to time the change to outgoing tide and the wind window.   Bay was like glass, had good marks to drop anchor but the tide was still slack.  No takers.   Pulled the hook and went back to Sunday's spot.  Chummed it up under pristine weather.  Had a couple of bumps but no run offs.  45 minutes into it and one fish decides to make the commitment.  Wind shifted as predicted.  Lines wouldn't lay right, boat swinging every which way and we pulled the pin.   Nice fish @ 32".  They were there, just a little tight lipped today.

not bad for a crappy day  t^
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
