Sea Tow vs. Tow Boat US??

What's your thoughts on ST vs TBUS? It looks like TBUS has more locations along the NJ coast than ST.

Both are good. BoatUS is in the Squan River up by the Wharfside.

I recently switched from the yellow guys to the red ones due to the number of assist vessels as well as response time in my area. The yellow guys come out of the bay, through the canal, then down the river. The red guys are in the river already.

Last July when someone wrapped my anchor rode in his props, the red guys showed up in 10 min, and that was a busy July 4th weekend.I made my mind up then to swith when my contract expired.
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

In the Raritan/SH area I think it's honestly 6 one way, half dozen the other.  I have TowBoatUS since my insurance is through them and it's just easier to keep everything with one company.  I needed them last year at about 10:30 at night.  They took about 30-40 minutes to show up on my position which really isn't bad when you think about it.  The captain was by one of the the friendliest, most professional person I have ever come across in any business.

find the one that is closest to where you fish from, then go for it. both are great.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.

I use the yellow guys and had a terrific experience with them back in 2008. My alternator died while up by the SR late on a Sunday. (Back when I had the older, single engine boat.)  It took them about an hour to get there (I didn't think it was too long)

They towed me in. Captain was a pro and very nice.

The bill for my tow was over $1400.00 if I didn't have the service. (At the time I was docked back in the Metedeconk river)

I have never heard anything negative about the Red Guys either.

Whichever way you go, I would not venture out of the inlet without one of them. Best money you will spend.

Money has been spent! I went with Tow Boat US. It was very similar money and they are located out of MI. I liked that you can get reduced fuel at some of the local marinas. It's between $0.05 and $0.10 off. Any little helps.

TowBoat has more vessels in the Barnegat Light area then Seatow.

You should call the local office to see who has more boats in your area.
