Another rocket surgeon out of KMB this afternoon found out the hard way what low clearance means. Could have been worse. He made it under with minimal damage. Hope he is at least able to put a catch together.

I don't always remove my bimini, but when I do..I prefer smashing it into a bridge   

I watched somebody remove their radar dome the easy way last year.  I would personally have tried a wrench or a pair of pliers first, but smashing it into the bridge certainly works as well.

About 7 or 8 years ago. When I was back in on my way to Wagner's with one of my boat partners who was at the wheel.

"Hey Joel." " Do you think we got the bridge?" "Yea, no problem" "I don't know"

Lucky we didn't get hurt and a little electrical tape and a the services of a horse blanket sewer saved us for the remaining use of that vessel.

Yeah, I did that too last year.  Had it cleared and completely forgot about the anchor light.  That one was actually welded to my arch, so I relaced it with one that I could put down on my own.
