Fishin fol and I went out last night for a couple of hours. Traffice killed me after work and didn't get to boat until 6:30pm
peanuts were around, but not close enough to dock and FF hasn't learned how to handle the boat yet, so off I we went with some ;ive spearing and a snapper.
Young GUll had been out since earlier in afternoon nad we had discussed some spots earlier on in the day.
Headed out and low and behold, he was at the 1st spot i was going to try
he had a couple in the box already. he kindly hooked us up with some peanuts and adriftin we went.
1st few drifts on a spot I had marked in the area produced a flurry of short, 16" fish. 2 ata tme.
After an hour it died off. Got late and dark, said goodbye and headed for ride in.
Today, my buddy met me at boat, VERY thick fog. Young GUll was already out.
Peanuts were right were I could get them and I LOADED up on them.
Went to same spot and Young Gull was on his way to limiting out ( I am sure he will post later).
Wound up with 3 keepers to 21" on live nuts and gulp (pink/yellow).
Tried a few other spots, but not much going on. caled it a day at noon to do some work on boat 9add more rod holders, bow chocks), decarb engine, etc.
Nice day on water. Not too hot.
Didn't get to fish ambrose, SH or the reef like I wanted to tho with all the fog.
