Vacation
« on: May 22, 2012, 10:35:37 AM »
Normally I would take a weeks vacation at the end of the season fishing for big Fluke, but have been troubled with the storms. So this year I figure take it the beginning of the season for the Striper run, it will be cooler and no storms....... SO much for that thought process fcp  rgmn rgmn If you need advice on when to take a vacation ask me when I'm planning mine and take it a different week ;D If I didn't have bad luck, sorry guys just me whinning  :'(

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Don't plan vacation days for fishing, just call out sick.  It requires far less prior notice and planning.   ;D

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I disagree about it needing less notice and planning as  whs  previously!
For the time of work maybe but for the vacation planning definately not..We book a trip 2 months ago departing this w/e on http://www.aferry.co.uk/portsmouth-bilbao-ferry.htm to go to Spain ~(Cant wait)! Was a very good price at the time , something like £150 each, for return that snot bad! That port is exaclty where we aim to be as have mums house there to stay! We wanted to book another ticket for a friend to come with and now I have look everywhere and cannot find the same deal!
The lesson is always book early!!
If a great wave shall fall and fall upon us all,
Then between the sand and stone,
Could you make it on your own ?
