 no, not that rod, my fishing rods. for the truck.

 1.5" pvc bolted to the truck box, 6" centers, maybe shoulda went a wee bit more, but still good. just have to set the handles

cool you can put some furn cos on top so you dont scratch your reels

cool you can put some furn cos on top so you dont scratch your reels


 i used by router and rounded the inside edges top and bottom so they wont get caught on the sharp edges, should be the same for rubbing. but i'll check some stuff out to cap them with

Nice!

Heat the tops of each rod tube with a propane torch. When they start to get "soft"  push a funnel into the tube to get a flare at the top of the tube.  Once it cools, sand the edges with some 400 grit.

No need for padding the tops now and they look just as good as store bought... t^

Looks good.. You could also buy heater hose from the auto part store and cut it in section for the tops..
My Biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.
