I headed down to the Shore House in Toms River.  I soaked some pot for a good bbq, and to my surprise, the crabbing is HOT.. especially for May.. Total count for Friday and Saturday was well over 300 with some really large crabs.

We took the pontoon boat out to keep the kids occupied with hand lines and in a half hour, the kids picked up 15, with a 6 year old doing the netting and missed more then they caught.  At the time I was taking others tubing, so if we put in the effort, the hand lines would have also produced very well.

The water temperature in the lagoons was 75 already and the bay was 72... It is going to be a hell of a year for the crabbers..
