Sykk Physh Bluefin and Mako 6/7 Pics
« on: June 08, 2012, 08:41:02 AM »
Well after yesterday, I wanted to go back offshore.. Mario called looking for bass.. I explain to him what was happenning offshore and he agreed to go Tuna. Jesse also was game for the run.. Stop short of yesterdays run and put lines in.. 5 Minutes and Mario had his first Bluefin... Lines back out ..Jesse hooks up, but a big falsie... Shark in box.. We went back on the hunt, and bamm.. Double Bluefins on the boat.. ..Lines out again went looking another bait get nail.. then it s settle down..For the Bluefin part of the trip we went 4 for 4 on them Keeping our under, releasing the others..

Now while working my way home looking for Tuna.. We noticed a turtle flapping it flucks violently.. slow up to see if he was tangle up.. Nope..2 sharks circling him.. quickly shut down and clear the boat and went into shark mode..put baits out and in 30 minutes of chum in the water. We had a Mako grab a bait and go.. Jesse came tight but never got the hook intoi him good.. quickly reset the with fresh bait and chum.. 10 minutes and the flat line bait is singing... The guys said Capt. its all you.. I set the hook. hard 5 times and game on...40 minutes and boat side.. We sunk a flyer into him.. and then I touch him off with 00 buck to the head..

We were excited to say the least..after settling down we slid in thru the door and headed for home..
He taped out at 79in and 44 in girth.. , whichs put him at 200lbs..

What a day.. I wanna thank Jesse and Mario for a truly great day and working as a team..

Enjoy the pics Capt Joe..

This photo just might be Joe with his first shark. I'm sure he doesn't even remember me or the photo but here's the proof.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
