RARITAN BAY REPORT 6/11/12
« on: June 12, 2012, 09:49:08 AM »
Headed out with Eddie ( Hunter II ) Jersey Joe for an evening of Fluke fishing. Left the dock at 4:30 and headed towards buoy 1 for a few drifts with squid and spearing on the menu. Nada not a bite so we decided to head towards buoy 3, picked 1 up at 20" long. Jersey Joe was hot with dog fish 2 were caught and released. No other takers, so we made a move near 18 in the reach. Caught 1 more Fluke at 18". Started getting late so we headed in with one stop by the sailboats for a drift. No takers, had alot of fun with two great guys.
Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

It was a fun trip, too bad the wind was honking against the tide. We still managed to put a couple on ice.
