Pilot - Paul and Pistol Pete 6/18
« on: June 19, 2012, 07:28:51 AM »
Got the Sunday call looking to get out.  So we made arrangements for a couple hour hunt after work.  Pete was in rare form.  The lad was drop and reel as soon as we hit the grounds and it was contagious.  We had non-stop action with the majority of fish being shorts but never gave up the good fight knowing a few decent ones lurked.  Drift after drift we pulled flatties or CBs make donations to the shopping cart.  Bucktails with gulp and a minnow.  Fresh bait strip was the preference.  We had a variety with bluefish, robin and bunker.

First fish Pete drops in the tub is a decent 4.5lb.  This wasn't to be outdone by aul, the master rod builder himself, so he follows-up with a nice 7lb flattie.  Seemed that I was dialed in on a number of quality C biscuits adding one keep flatfish to the bin.   The back and forth banter continued for a solid 3 hrs until Pistol Pete decides to free line a bunkie and ice Paulie.   Picture says it all..  a very nice PB 30lb striper for the Pistol man.

Tally 5 keep fluke, 8 biscuits and a personal best.

Great trip guys t^

Nice mixed bag
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
