Fished the incoming today near the inlet. I started with white twister tails and bucktails and had a bunch of hits but could not get them on the hook. I switched to chartruese swim mullets on the teaser and a chart/white uncle josh on the bucktail and the fluke responded well. I had 8 fish total but all shorts. 7 fish on the swim mullet and 1 on the bucktail. 2 or 3 were 1/2" short.
What a bummer but still fun.
I also tried a Tman plastic first time today and it got some hits so I will trying them out from now on.
Got in 2 minutes before the boomers and then all h*ll broke loose. I almost didn't make it back to the launch...
