Vacationing in Wildwood/wildwood crest
« on: June 22, 2012, 07:22:34 PM »
Just looking for some direction in a bait that will get bit the most maybe where to dip it? I don't care what bites my line skates, stingrays, sea robins, baby sharks, or a "desirable" species just looking to catch some cool stuff while on vacation. Bonus points if someone can put me on puffers! I'll be down sat through tues if any of you are from that area.

Clams and bunker are always good bets.
You might now be able to fish some of those beaches this time of years since its in season.  But try down towards the cape may lighthouse and sunset beach.  Take a look at Google earth to scope out some areas.
Check out the local shops for info.  There's one on 47 before the bridge and one up by the inlet in north wildwood.

Try Anglesea more inland (near the pubs). There is a hole off one of them that holds some fluke.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

Sort of a saltwater noob, actually I'm pretty bad. Had a decent day full of bites only managed to land dogfish but on light line they were fun. I know you guys are going to throw stones so im getting ready for it but whereabouts would I land a sea robin, never caught one and think they look cool always wanted to catch one, tried sunset lake but only doggies were into it any advice?

I can't help you out, as I've never fished that area.  But, I just wanted to let you know, we don't throw stones here. t^

And sea robins are pretty cool looking (in a Japanese SciFi movie kinda way). ;D

in the water, there everywhere. try catching a fluke and youll get a robin, try where you caught the doggie they usually run together.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Either one should work if they're around.
