Phyllis Ann Barnegat Family Flukin
« on: June 23, 2012, 06:57:33 PM »
Today my Father and I met up With Greg(Reel Time) Ron, Barb(Getthenet) and Chel (Seachel) For a full family fluking trip. Greg took over the wheel house today and for once I was able to enjoy a nice day out in the cock pit t^

We started out on the Barnegat Reef with a load boats. Not much action until the "One Hour Before The Tide" We managed about 9 fluke for the day.... with 2 of them going in the box.. 1 @ 19 and 1 @ 20. Caught by Ron on a Clam. and Chel on a Gulp/Squid combo. Also boxed about 4 nice seabass.  Just about all the action came right around the tide change.. High hooks today go to Ron and Barb t^

Beautiful day on the water with good friends and family..

Forgot to take pics of the fish before they hit the filet table..

Thank for a fun day guys t^

always a nice trip aboard the PA, thanks for having us.

was a good time for sure. i think the drift was a little bit to slow, which did affect the catch rate,,, 3oz sinker in 50' of water is pretty damn light.

and yes, hotrod does actually fish sometimes,,,,,

Last time I fished out on the reef was during the NJSWF Fluke-a-Thon a few years back.  There was absolutely zero drift.  I was using a 1/2 oz. bucktail out there. ;D

Looks like you all had a really fun trip!  Good to see the Phyllis Ann away from the dock for a bit.  But where was the real Phyllis Ann? :headscra:

Nice pleasure trip you had.

Get rid of them chairs and you will catch more fish.  ;D

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
