Personally It dont matter if I catch any thing... Id rather enjoy my day on the water. I release 99.9% of my fish except for fluke which i only keep 3-4 fish to give to my mom any way. I was just talking about this the other day...I like to be upon the water fish or no fish.....What i really like is fishing and catching alot of different fish..ie sea robins,sand sharks,fluke,and skates. I like checking them all out! kinda cool if you think about it any way enjoy your time upon the water

Funny you ask.  Last time I tallied it up was on 6/26 with your post being the last.

It was a tie at 9 for action and 9 for big fish.

Bet was a push but for some reason I still had to buy bait and beer 4th of July weekend!!..

Havent looked at recent posts closely to see if the tie has been broken.  And for the record, I vote monster over action.

I agree 100%!  I just love being on the water with a pole in my hand.

Been following this thread for a while and haven't really been able to decide.   I think it depends on what kind of mood I'm in at the moment and what species I'm targeting. 

The question of action or size aside, I get the most enjoyment when I'm able to catch them the way I want to catch them.  For example, I would rather catch one fish jigging or popping than catch 10 fish on bait, or 100 fish trolling.

So my answer to your question is:  Both!
