Had Joe, Nick, Jon & Gary along with Ed manning the cockpit this today for our open boat deepwater Fluke trip. Tried one drop locally with not much to show for it so we ran out to the rough stuff. We got on a good body of fish that we were able to work all day through both tides. Joe (10) and Nick (9) put on a bucktail clinic accounting for 19 of our 26 keepers today. Nick also caught a big Ling on the bucktail. All quality fish today with the biggest going 24″ and 5.5lbs. I don’t even want to venture a guess as to how many shorts we sent back. Gulp and Excite-a-bites were the ticket. A lot of ball busting and some new nicknames made for a fun time today.
