Penn Reel Maint.
« on: July 19, 2012, 03:52:56 PM »
I have a few older Penn reels that need some maint. Can anyone suggest a shop local to Brick? I would send them back to Penn but, in some cases their initial price to just look at the reels are more expensive than the reels themselves!

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

What models? Not to take any business away from the shops but older penns are really easy to self service. Just print out the schematics, take it apart piece by piece, find out what is not working properly, and order the parts if they are still available. I'd be happy to help.
