Left the dock about 645am and went straight to the red side Ambrose, first drift I had 2 shorts and dropped a nice one, went back and landed a 5.5 lber, back and again and here come the doggies. Moved over to the green side and picked a few more shorts. When reeling in my bait rig it was getting hit on the way up by squid. I messed around trying to get some in the boat but no luck, they just spit the bait as I was swinging them. A crab net would have helped. Gave it one more shot over by the sticks, more of the same. Headed back about noon.
