Left the dock around 20:00 with friend Adam and head to the SGR. When we got there it was blowin pretty good with 3' rollers with occasional 4's thrown in and a fast drift. Not liking the feel of the drift we headed back towards the inlet to fish plan A.
Anchored a little north od the inlet and wet some bunker. Floated 2 lines for any sharks/blues but nothing all night. By niights end we caught 4 or 5 skates, a very small sea bass, a small shark od some sirt (don't think it was smooth dog as it had a black dorsal fin and no markings on the body?), and a small 10' weakie - probably the first weakie I've caught in 20 years.
We headed back in around 01:00 or so. It did calm down as the night went on. Of course we both had plans for today, we discussed getting some sleep on the boat, getting fuel and lheading out early for BFT.
Although nothing of value was caught it was still a good night.
