Late Reports...Sandy Hook Fluking 8/18 & 19th

Sorry for the late report....broke my phone on one of the trips so i had to wait till i got back to my pc to post up

Sat 8/18 had NJSWF Member DJ76 Dennis on board with a crew for Johns Bachelor party. With a light 20-25 North East Wind and pouring rain, we headed out in some very nautical conditions to say the least. Rounded the hook in tight 4's and set up where we have had some good fishing the last week and it was no different today. Fish on right away and pretty much constant action for the entire trip. The Robins became a nuisance at times, eating the bait before the fluke had a chance. Conditions improved and by 11 a.m. it was flat calm. Ended the day with 16 Keeps to 4.5 lbs

Sun 8/19
Had Tae,Andrew,Paul,Sophie and Minjie on board for another fluke trip. Same area but some different results today....we scratched away today on the fluke...they didnt come easy as we had to get through more Robins than i had ever seen. Went deeper and got rewarded with a # 6.5 Fluke caught by Tae. Also caught a Northern King today on squid...a welcome sight. Did a drift in the bay on the way home and added 3 nice keepers.
only had 9 Keeps for the gang today but tons of throwback fluke still remain.

once again Carl you didn't dissappoint.  can't say enough about the great time we had...the good fishing was just a bonus.  KB... rofla rofla rofla rofla  that ones gonna stick!
