Pilot - 8/25 short run with the in-laws
« on: August 25, 2012, 05:19:23 PM »
Had my 86 Year old father-in-law Bill and brother -in-law Brian out for a coupe of hours. Fished Flynns and parts of Ambrose.  Fish were locked down today.   First drop (the curse) a nice 22" dinner plate style for four into the pokey.     A bunch of sea robins tearing up the gulp.   No luck on the pnut pig enticers!   More shorts on the mussel beds. Moved off to the bend  section of Ambrose devoid!     Headed further up and started to knock a couple on the power drift. One more in the box. Whoopi. Two for the day.  Then the motor chugs out.   On the drift in the channel. Hmmmm. Head boat or green can?      Mad dash to the primer bulb. Squeezing like I worked for Florida Orange and Citrus.    Finally. We get it primed and c ranked over.    Back to port for a cleanup. Life is good again t^

A nice first fish is often a bad omen. Get em next time Jeff.
