Labor Day Crabbing
« on: September 03, 2007, 04:52:46 PM »
I decided to go out crabbing as Capt. Ed slept in. He is getting old (LOL). I took his boat (and numbers) to an area near the Mantoloking Bridge. Caught over three dozen nice size crabs in a few hours with chicken wings on drop lines.

Capt. Ed crawled out to help with the measurements. I am sure he will have something to say about that (it was not easy).

The three largest were:

1. 6 and 3/8 inches
2. 6 and 1/8 inches
3. 6 inches

Not the biggest crabs but they are headed into the pot for crab cakes.

Nice way to end a great weekend of fishing!
