Woke up to the alarm this morning at 5am to get a little fishing in before today's event with the NJBBA, taking some special needs kids fishing from a few area schools.  Grabbed some coffee at Wawa and next stop was Grumpy's in SSP for some supplies.  Getting out of the truck, I couldn't find my wallet.  Tore the truck apart and it wasn't in sight.  My buddy who works there even helped look.  Called Wawa and no wallet was turned in, nor was it found when an employee kindly searched the area I was parked in.  My buddy suggested I call Barnegat Police to see if it was turned in there.  No luck again.  He spotted me what I went in for, (great guys in there), and into the park I went with my day already ruined.  Was so worried about my wallet, I couldn't even fish, so I sat in the truck on the beach and watched the sunrise.  Tore the truck apart again twice on the beach now that it was light out and maybe I overlooked it.  Nope.  By this time I had to meet up with the rest of the volunteers for the event.  Hung around for a while and right when the kids were showing up my phone rings.   It's BPD and my wallet was turned in with the exception of all my credit/bank/store cards.  I had to leave to file a police report, cancel all my cards, and miss the event which I was looking forward to.  Last I heard the police were viewing the surveillance video at Wawa.  Some people suck!  I hope they attempt to use the cards so they can have a few extra charges if and when they are caught for putting their fingers on things that don't belong to them!  </rant>

That sucks Jason. Big hassle getting everything replaced. Fortunately you have you D/L and other items returned.

Your cards were cancelled and a report files so you won't be responsible for any purchases made on them. And as a side note, if the cards are used, you are not the victim of that particular theft (getting the merchandise with the cards), the credit card company is the victim on that theft. If the perp is caught, the card company won't want to follow thru with a prosecution cause it will cost them too much to pursue it thru the courts, a big reason why the interest rates are what they are.  :P You can still have the initial theft prosecuted if the PD finds the perp.

Also sucks that you missed the NJBBA event you were supposed to be at and looked forward to. I hope your day got better.

Just lost my Wallet thud......  left the house with it.. stopped at eckerds and home depo.. no where to be found.. WTF..  Cancelling cards as I type..

I actually think I left it on the roof of the car when I left the drug store.. then it would have fell off on the road..  you would think someone that pulled over to pick it up would return it..

Had about 6$ in it.. and all my CC cards and such.. nosmly

Almost lost mine last sunday,,, Had it in the tank bag (I forgot to zip shut) on the bike, made a turn off 206 and I feel something land in my lap, look down to see its my wallet sitting between my legs on the seat.

 So maybe bump that up to a bad week for wallets.

Yep, some people suck, and it will come back on them in one way or another. Sucks that you guys have to go through the hassle of all the phone calls, then waiting  for New cards to arrive in the mail. Been there, I feel your pain.

Yeserday.  Right where I figured it would have fell off the roof
Money. 36$. And everything was in it.  

He was coming home from church.

So yes. There are good people still out there.
