What looks to be my final fluke trip of 2012 ended in a bust. Shoved off at 0730 and after catching and releasing all but one of 5 cocktail blues that hit small ava jigs at the tip of the hook, I headed down the beach to the Highlands bridge. Drifted over various spots in the area bucktailing and deadsticking a bait rig only to come up with 6 short fluke and a bunch of birds. I did have some action when some large blues started popping up. Lost a few fluke rigs as they seemed to like the teasers. Switched to a ava an got a few boat side for a quick release. Pulled the plug about 1130 as the winds and sea began picking up.
