2013 Offshore Tuna trip
« on: October 10, 2012, 08:20:35 PM »
As of now the 2013 offshore tuna trip will be on the Doris Mae IV

http://www.dorismae.com

The date is October 19th return October 20th
I think that is a better date, since the reports have been getting better after our trip this year.

The trip will be a 22 hour trip

We will have 24 anglers on board and the boat has bunks for all.
If you can not make this date, please let me know so I can remove you from the list and move the next person up. If you are not sure if the date is good for you, you will have some time to change your mind.
I will book the date with the boat the first week of January and once I do that, they will give me till March to send the deposit in.

As of today the price is $325.00 per person. This price could change a little, depending if diesel fuel price goes up too much. I am betting the price of fuel will go up, so plan on a little more then the $325.00. And no I don’t know how much that will be.
The price does not include a tip for the mates, so keep that in mind.

Payments:

Your first payment of $100.00 is due by March 15th
Second payment of $100.00 is due by May 31st
The balance is due September 16th. By then we should know the price if they have to charge us extra due to fuel prices.

I will accept payments the same as last year and I will set up a PayPal payment. If you decide to use the PayPal method, you will have to pay to charges for that.

If you have to cancel once you have made a payment, I will not refund your money. I will try to help you fill your spot and get that person to send you the money that you paid. I have enough to keep track of, so that’s the way it will be done.

The Doris Mae will supply all Rods (if needed), bait, tackle and coffee at no charge. They prefer you use there hooks and leaders.

I am told this boat is faster then the last years boat we were on, but keep in mind that all depends how far we have to go.

I did ask the Captains wife about the drinking and she told me no way can you drink.
That is up to you if that makes a difference to you. I am also told by guys who have fished this boat that it’s not a big deal if you have a few as long as you don’t get stupid.
You make the call, I told you.

The rest of the rules are the same.
No braided fishing line on your chunking rod unless you have a 200’ top shot.
Tile, Squid, Mahi and jigging rods can have braid line, but must stay clear of others.

If you pick a boat with no beer cross off everyone except rod and bob if you pick a boat, with no teddy bear pillows cross off mike, If you pick a boat that does under 15 knots ill swim and meet you there  ;D How about the gambler or the voyager 5hrug
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I am in Rick. Thanks for doing this again for us. I know it has to be a lot of work. t^ chrz pawle

Rick:

If you want I have an online registration system that I use for my business. I can make an event for us that is hidden to only invited individuals. People can pay via credit card. It tracks EVERYTHING, emails can be sent through it and there is some other cool functionality including attendee reports, etc. I would have no problem setting it up for you. The only thing is there is it costs me $3.99/person + a small percentage (3.99% I think) for the processing of the credit cards. This fee can automatically be included in the 'registration' cost.

If you're interested let me know. I think this might be the simplest way to go for you.

Thoughts?

No problem. There is also a way to track check payments and partial payments are able to be made as well. As we get closer if you're interested I can always work with you to make the registration form and you can play with it to see if you want to use it or not.
