A photo from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shows a giant eyeball from a mysterious sea creature that washed ashore and was found by a man walking the beach in Pompano Beach, Fla., on Wednesday. The eyeball will be sent to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla.

So? Where or what species do you think this came from? Creepy looking to say the least,  fcp but still I like stuff like this.

Has to be a recent kill/death for the eye to still have the pigment in it no??? :headscra: Im not good with that stuff...but I would think if it was old, it would be grey.

The news just said squid or sword. Come to think of it that's about the size of the eye of the giant sword I caught last week.  rofla

It does hence why I question it being a fresh kill, all the tissue and pigment in the eye is so fresh... I think its a sword not squid if it's between one or the other, the colors in the eye I think reflect the sword more than squid. whats up with that dudes eyes...are they his real eyes??? Do they stay like that or does he pop them out... thats not right...  cfzd  rofla
