Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

it was local. I was using up some clams I had in the freezer from a previously aborted mission. Tide was around 230 i got there about 1230 or so and almost immediately caught the one. He went back in the pool. far out I saw some life about 1 mile off the beach the water was glass all except for a 1 acre area wasnt boiling but definately simmering. There was no moon in sight I had to line the rods up with the driscol to see the tips. And Ikat there werent any live HCs but plenty of shells. Now today at work I will be making a sand spike mallet as all the HIGH tides last week seem to have pushed all the driftwood hammers deep into the cat tails.  Water felt pretty warm and it was clear I could easily see bottom all the way up to the top of my waiders. All in all great way to prepare for the week of night shifts starting today.

I'm never gonna live down that aborted mission.  And I don't think Dennis was worried about the HC's  rofla
