As you may recall right before the storm I ran into some motor trouble and hauled the boat home. Well, my buddy gave me a call the other day after starting to do some diagnosis....
Looks like I need new risers and manifolds. There was about 1-2qts of water in the block. Also one of the rods had snapped (presumably corroded d/t the water) so, she had been running on 5 cylinders. We need to check the head for cracks, but are pretty hopeful there are none.
Now to do the math and figure out if I go the repair route or a Jasper from Rick..... I guess I'll put replacement boat shopping on hold for another season or two so I can try and recoup some of the money being laid out for this repair.
