Well, Got my place is sort of back together, and have been doing some more work on my Hobie Revolution 11.
Been at this project for about a year now, and its just about finished. Unfortunatly I did'nt have a camara, but if Mrs Claus runs out of coal ;D I may be in luck to do some Video's. Anyway, gonna start posting some stills later in the week. Waiting on 2 more pieces to basically finish it off. Namely a Dry box for the battery, (I went with a 12 AH AGM )so the dry box is actually an ammo container to fit. The other peice is gonna be the RailBlaza Star setup for my outriggers. I havent ordered the Star system yet, but that will be final piece. Right now using a fishing crate setup, and probable alwas will have my crate to carry other stuff. Also has a Block that I use for my sail. Mounted just a little higher, to keep things from fouling during high wind. Anyway stand by for some stills. Hope all had a dynomite Thanksgiving, and Gawd Bless us all, during this trying holiday season.

I would love to put a sail on my yak but as good as that system is it is expensive.  It is close to 700 bucks to raise a sail using that system.  It is interesting though.

I have the Hobie Quest and love it.  I have outriggers for it already all I need is a sail system.

Yeah I dumped a little money into it, but It took awhile to put it together. You can make your own sail system. I don't really have many tools or a shop to do some of these things, so I opted to go with the lay away plans. There's also other sail makers besides hobie that work fairly well too. Here's some links.

I'm not all that well any more unfortantly, so I need to use a sail to motor around so to speak. Also this is really my only hobie now. I lived on a sailboat down in Mobile for a few years, till Katrina had her way with her. Jealose biatch.  >:(

Cool! Verry exciting! Good luck with it! It sounds really neat!!! I always see guys in them on the bay fishing... where do you keep the fish when you get keepers? I've always wondered that,  ;D

A stringer...is that just what is sounds like??? Sorta like what is used for fresh water where the fish are hooked up through the mouth and hung one by one?

Exactly, When I used to scoop crabs from the yak id drill holes in a 5 gal bucket and put that in a tube and float it behind the yak  t^

I usally throw them back, but if I'm really going out I use a stringer also. I have a front hatch that I'm thinking of making into a nice cooler. with this



I've got most of the winter to plan all the little details out now. All of the main purchases have been made at this point though. Wife is pleased  clp
But its really my only hobie, other then an online game I play. So I don't really spend much going out or stuff like that.

Looks like Sunday is gonna be a good test day also, so if anyone available I'm in Long Branch, but will travel if anyone wants to head out.

For real!!! I think its sooo cool how a kayak can be modified not only to fish but to do all the other cool things that you do while fishing. I wanna try it put someday now... but then again, ummm I would probably flip right over..  rofla

Oh you havent see anything yet WB, this is just a primer, first coat I should have the second one up tomorrow. The Third maybe done next week. That's where the Whole yak is displayed. I'm trying to do a theme thing with it, with the Sandy thang. I just found out we got like 3 weeks to move. :'( Anyway, gonna make this movie. Glad you liked the intro though. Thanks.
