It will go to good use.  I am matching this man's kindness with a donation of my own, and I'm buying some sports equipment (soccer balls, a baseball glove, etc.) to be donated to Toys For Tots.

Pretty amazing how big the spectrum of people you run into in your life are.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Got these yesterday.  However, all of the Toys For Tots sites had all of their donations picked up already.  I sent an email and left a phone message with the TFT Coordinator for Ocean County and have, so far, not received a response.

I also found something for Hurricane Sandy, but they have apparently stopped taking donations as well.

Does anyone know of a local charitable organization that will take these so we can get them to the children for Christmas?  If you do, please let me know ASAP!

Thanks,
Bob

I finally got a call back from the coordinator.  She told me, "We just made a final pick up at all the drop off locations today.  So the only way to donate now is to bring them to Little Egg Harbor." fcp

Well, I had all day to drive down there, but now it's too late and my next day off is Christmas day.

Any suggestions as to where I can donate these would be greatly appreciated.

Serendipity! clp

My wife was taking my daughter to dance class when she saw a Toys For Tots sign in the window of a chiropractor's office a few doors down.  They stopped in and asked if they were still accepting toys and the women at the desk said that the man from Toys For Tots was on his way over to make their final pick up.  So I rushed over there and caught them just in time!

My daughter, in her thoughtfulness, added these jump ropes (that we forgot to give away as favors at her last birthday party) to the pile.  t^

t^ Bob sorry I didnt catch this post earlier.A story similar to yours,my friend Ron the kid we did the corn hole tournament for, Well after his benefit he felt obligated to keep it going so he started a "Toy Drive" directly going to the kids at Hackensack Cancer Hospital. Just goes to show that I act of kindness by you can lead to 100's by many, just like in the commercial for I think a credit card company. It was a nice thing you did. So  slt to you and  slt to your wife and daughter.
