NO WAY nts Not In NJ. Not with cops shooting cops It would make a bunch of trigger happy people. In other states that now have it they grew up with it. and around it. Its no big deal. In Alaska its common and most have a firearm of choice LOADED Carring Home Auto. Holdster. When I am Fishing up there most everyone is Carrying. And they are big caliper. 10 shoot shot guns Buck and slug. I wind up leaving any in the Truck. if I see a lot with guns and Never felt so safe. NJ  fcp smk nts

Sorry left out its no supprise on who is already carrying. THE BAD GUYS. Add to that a bunch of people that can't even drive,  And may I add Alaska has fewer gun crimes in 90% of the state when you call the Law that is if you can reach them The matter may already be taken care of. The bears and wolves eat well.

I don't live in NJ but I think you should have the right to carry a licensed firearm. With that being said though I cannot see NJ changing their ways. My soon to be in brother-in-law is going through the 3rd degree just to get a permit to buy a firearm? I understand and agree with a background check process but, NJ's is just plain ridiculous and way too long.

I don't agree with Bill (go figure right?  ovrbt) that just because NJ residents aren't used to it that if it was pass it would be dangerous. I don't think theres any case study or statistics to back that statement up.

Plain and simple it a right all Americans should be afforded. I am not against some restriction etc but, at the end of the day IF I want to own a weapon I should have the right to make that descision on my own, not have the Govt do it for me.

I got the picture... I just don't see how common sense would indicate that since you are not currently allowed to carry a firearm that when you are finally permitted to do so that your would do it without regard to life and property..... I was a child once and all I ever wanted to do was drive. When I was finally allowed to I didn't kill anyone when I drove. It was exactly the same thing when I became of legal age to carry a firearm.... I haven't killed anyone. Just sayin.

Funny how a post can go viral. If someone has a opinion some fell threatened. Rather then debating . Sad that is is makes a point of why  the right to carry by anyone is not going to happen. The states that have it are very different then others. Just think going into any city in NJ NY Even PA ? It wold be a shooting ground . With the mentality displayed .     And if you have a A NJ  purchase permit read it you already have some rights to carry.

Oh Jesus its a blizzard.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

PA is a right to carry state, I have a carry permit...they are readily available at the Sheriffs office if you are over 21. Pay $19 have a backround check done, give them 3 people to vouch for you and bang....you have a permit. Total time...1 week. Not hard at all.   PA is far from Tombstone, or Deadwood. A conceal carry permit, obtained by lawful citizens, that go thru the states backround check (or requsite firearms training as required by some states) are not the problem when it comes to gun violence. I hope the folks in NJ have the opportunity to be able to get something passed to beable to carry if they choose. The nice thing about my carry permit, is that its valid in 17 other states as it is in PA, and i can get a carry permit issued in 10other states (on demand) just because i have a PA CC permit

PS Rick, you owe me a keyboard and monitor  rofla
