Best Advise I can Give you........ If your looking for the best of the best in fishing up to the minute information its on this site......

There are a couple clubs in the area that are good and I have been a member in 4 of them......The problem with clubs is the clicks with members....

The club I with now is the best....... Its the Me, Myself and I and the folks on NJSWF.

Hi-Mar Striper club in Middletown might be a place to start. I'm not a member but went to the flea market last week. t^

The problem with clubs is the politics that goes on and that forces clicks and arguments and I can live with out the drama.

If you are looking to learn especially when the season is in full swing, many of us will post when we will be on the beach, in our Kayaks or going out in members boats and I almost forgot even when members get together and make a trip on one of the party boats.

So, in my mind this site has it all and it does not cost you a thing to join.

Happy Catching

Many of the winter fishing shows offer seminars with specifics and how to . Go and take advantage of these. I like some of fishing magazines as well. On the Water is my favorite. I am a member of a surf fishing club and while I agree there are clicks in every organization, I enjoy my association with this club. We do not offer much for the novice. Fishing for us is hands on and life long sport. Everyone starts where they are and begins to learn. This site offers a friendly community with which to interact . Most will help you out when they can  ;D

Just an FYI for you. When you have more than 5 posts you will have access to the members only forums. Some useful info there including contact info for various members.

Aside from this site, The Fisherman magazine is a good investment for info.  $30/year and weekly prints equals a lot of info.  Now, if I can win that damn dreamboat one year........ lol

My annual catch of fish has increased significantly since I have been on this site (Thank You Members).  It takes time, patience and just getting out there.

Welcome and Enjoy,

Mike

I think being an active memember of a club has its advantages. There are always people that are willing to share;and some that feel they paid their dues and you should too.I am a former President(8 years) of a Fishing and Hunting Club and we had a membership of 75 active fishermen. It was easy to identify individuals willing to share their knowledge. Put the time in and gain their respect. t^
