I went down to the milstone river in hillsborough by the blackwells mill bridge is. It was slightly overcast with sprinkles of rain here and there but still warm. I got to my secret spot where there is always a smallmouth swiming around. Tied on a green senko with a bullet sinker to get down to the botttom. First cast something big nails it begins pulling drag down stream. Took me about three minutes to get the sucker in. A solid 3LB smallie. I begin fan casting around the hole and in a matter of a half hour i a caught four more between 1Lb and 2 1/2Lb. The bite slowed down so i begin to walk upstream with no luck. On my way back to the parking lot i decided to tie on a deep diving crank bait and cast one more time in my favorite hole. I retreive my bait almost all the way to the shore and bam another 3Lb smallie nailed my bait. It was pretty cool seeing the fish nail that crankbait. All and all a pretty good day of small mouth fishing
