Been looking forward to this trip for a couple weeks and as always worried Mother Nature was going to blow which She's been doing for what seems to be years! 4 am start for the ride to AC to jump on the Karen Ann II with Capt. Adam at the dock for 6 with the Capt right on time AS ALWAYS, and as a bonus he brought a Co Captain Jacob his Son! Comfortable ride out in beautiful weather with a moderate swell and 0 wind. There was a little concern about being able to pull tight on the rough stuff but as we stopped up on the first piece Capt was optimistic we had sufficient current to get the job done. Capt was right, tucked right in on top and the festivities began. Big Jim starts it off in typical fashion putting it to em quick while the rest of us picked. Today it was a steady consistent bite on crabs delivered by Jacob. The story ends like this a limit catch of some fine Tog with a 10 1/2 lb and a PB for me at 13 1/2 lb both went back to be caught again! But I have to say this, I think the highlight of the trip was watching Adam coach Jacob through the Morning with the ins and outs of Toggin!!! Class act operation!
Thanks Adam & Jacob for another great trip on the Karen Ann II & a Tog I won't forget soon. Pics to follow
