Tuesday Fishing
« on: May 08, 2013, 06:30:25 AM »
Charter I was on was cancelled so I decided to hop on the Explorer for a day on the sea. Saw some nice sized bunker schools soon after leaving the inlet but fish weren't biting...few more stops/few fish and off to the way North we went. Started clammin' and action picked up with lots of shorts and plenty of dogfish to weed through. Capt. did his best to find the fish, just weren't cooperating with the bite. Got a glimpse of a whale breaching not far off the beaches on the way home. Glad to be able to get back out either way.

Too bad you didn't get them biting Mike.  Capt.Ron on the Fishermen had a good day but he must of been further north.  Nice to be out though. t^

We were up there next to them(Fishermen) but didn't get up there until later in the AM/PM when things seemed to die off and we were picking at them

I'm hearing they are far north. My bet is our fish are all piled up in the rivers. Hopefully the doors break loose any day now.
