5/17 Sandy Hook Striper Report
« on: May 17, 2013, 10:29:02 PM »
Ran a double today.....
1st up....Mike Delvecchio and crew....ran west today and set up on good marks....put a couple in box right away and it slowed up so we made a wiggle....came tight on the fish pretty good for an hour or so boxing up 2 fish shy of our limit...some big demons and multiple short and lost bass.
The p.m. trip was a different story....ran back to where we had them..came tight on 2 fish instantly....losing one and boxing the other. Then we lost the current and wind and couldn't hold on anchor. Went on the troll over some great marks but nothing to show. Let the boys decide to go after the toothy ones so we broke out the chunks and went to work with steady armbreakers for a couple of hours before heading in.....tough night but good action overall!

The secret to catching fish is, to fish, where the fish are.
