After work I met with Jersey Joe at the Marina in Keyport at 5:30 to get a quick trip in. We had clams left over from Sunday and trolling gear. It was a beautiful evening with little wind, 60 Deg water temp, high tide was 4:37pm. Big difference from Sunday!!
      We trolled the lower reach and had decent marks. A few schools of a bunker were around but they were pretty calm and not threatened. We caught only Bluefish on the Spoon and Stretch with the Tournament cable umbrella rig.
     We did some searching and found marks in 28' S.west of the channel to drop anchor on and try some clams. Plenty of chum was in the slick from cracking clams and a pot down below too. During an hour of this only a sea robin was boated. :P
     I decided to troll home whole we still had the sun on the horizon and this produced more Bluefish close to the 11A.
    Back at the marina at 8:45pm a friend was cleaning 3 nice 20 to 30lb Stripers he caught Live lining the Bunker schools . Then the Blues showed up and it was over for the Stripers.
