While setting up the boat for Mondays trip I reached into the bucket with the spoons hanging on the inside and did not see the big treble hook. One of the hooks went all the way in by my middle knuckle. The tip of the hook was about an inch away from the entry point poking outward towards the skin. We tried some three stooges surgery for 20 minutes but could not get it out. 2 hours later after a trip to the ER we ready to fish.
The Stripers were not hitting anything on the troll during the outgoing tide. We fished the Raritan Bay and the outside of the hook. We did some Fluking on the outside when a cold wind started cranking from the south and gave us a crazy drift.
After a move back into the bay we trolled the rest of the outgoing only to produce loads of Bluefish. We a had a great time though celebrating Memorial Day with good people.

Looks like Fluke will be the next target if Striper fishing does not pick up soon.

P.s. if anyone finds a 9'ners Umbrella rig being carried around by 2 monster Bluefish it was mine.
