6/20 & 6/21 Sandy Hook Recap...nice variety of trips!

Sat 6/20 a.m. we went back out to the sea bass grounds...great conditions for most of the morning....the boys  bailed the sea bass along with ling and some fluke....njswf member Matt Bailey had a big biscuit that scaled out at 5.97 lbs.
6/20 p.m. had Nate Epplinger and company out for fluke
 Horrible conditions...cranking SE wind with the tide made drifting very tough...had to bounce around trying to find fishable areas and only managed a handfull of fluke. Ugh
6/21 Had the Santoro group out for some Stripers. Got set up on the chunk and had some hits when ed comes tight on a nice bass. Had some missed opportunities. When the tide changed  the action died out. Eds bass came in at 34lbs

Ya thought that pic was nice? This one is even better...This is the 2nd tray...the first one didnt stand a chance...Couple of Sam Adams....cucumber salad and corn on the cob....some potatos on the grill....Life is Good!!! t^

I can't remember what you told me. :headscra: Sounds like it was a really good dinner too; light sides so you can really concentrate on the fish!  TT^ Beer's a sure thing either way! :P Did you send some over to the Capt??? Gotta admit he's the MAN when on the hunt for fish!  msfsh

Oh heck yea the kids eat fish....so does the wife and mother in law  Wife actually said it was some of the best fish shes ever had, and asked me when im going back out to get some more......needless to say we were all fat and happy Friday night......that and we washed it all down with a home made Coconut cream pie  t^
