We got the invite to fish again with Captain Jeff on his beautiful 37' Topaz "Kristin Marie" running out of his home in Pt. Pleasant. Scott G,Jersey Joe, Scott W, Capt Jeff and his friend and Myself made up the team. All the boats drifting the harbor waiting for the starting gun was exciting. We made a 55 mile run to the grounds and setup a nice slick. The drift was slow but we saw plenty of turtles and occasional poroise in the area.
A big blue shark came into the slick and took a bait. Scott fought it and we were able to get the hook out boatside. A large Mako was milling around but we could not get him to bite.
When it became too late to make the weigh in we head for the barn for the cleanup. Our next trip with Capt.Jeff will be Tuna
